Do Your Pyjamas Need an Upgrade?

Something you probably don’t know about me is that I really L-O-V-E pyjamas. I have quite the collection, too. As well as my grown-up PJs from Calvin Klein, Victoria’s Secret and Oysho, I also have a range of silly PJs from ASOS featuring ice cream cones, skunks, ski slopes, bananalamas, and eggs. But until recently, I’d never owned luxury pyjamas.

As someone who spends a lot of time in them, they’re pretty important to me. I’m not gonna lie, I often WFH… in my pyjamas. However, it’s more a matter of efficiency than laziness. Because when I’m on a writing spree, there’s simply no time to waste. I get up, make a cup of coffee, and start writing on my laptop until dark. What self-respecting writer has time to get dressed?

And so, naturally, I decided that perhaps it was time to invest in some real, 100% cotton, luxury – monogrammed, no less – pyjamas. Oh yeah. I’m 30 now. That’s how we spend our big girl money. The brand that caught my eye for a long time is from husband and wife duo Molly and Joel who together founded Desmond & Dempsey. Since starting their brand 4 years ago, they have done exceptionally well thanks to a high-quality product, unique prints and classic designs.

Hard to choose just one, I know, but I finally settled on the Sansido Tiger Print Long Set in Navy/Pink from their Originals Collection. I got my blog’s initials monogrammed on the front in cream, like a boss, and every order comes with a big old-fashioned broadsheet called the Sunday Paper, filled with articles and inspiration for your laziest of Sundays. Of all the pyjamas I’ve ever owned, this is by far the best. Perhaps it’s also time you upgraded yours?
